Cook – Full-time Kitchen Operations

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at Papa Geordie Gas & Grocery in Regina Beach. The role involves preparing and cooking meals, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring food quality and safety in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Determine portion sizes and associated food costs for menu items.
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to recipes and standards.
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain cleanliness and compliance with health regulations.
• Train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe handling practices.
• Maintain inventory records for food, supplies, and equipment, and place orders as needed.
• Clean kitchen work areas and equipment daily.
• Oversee overall kitchen operations, including scheduling and workflow management.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate (high school diploma).
• 2 to less than 3 years of experience working as a cook or in a similar kitchen role.
• Availability for shift work, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Ability to start on the date specified in the posting.
