Cook – Full-time in Upper Tantallon

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at Cavicchi’s Meats in Upper Tantallon. This permanent, full‑time position involves preparing a variety of Canadian dishes for restaurant guests and special dietary needs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and foods, including options for allergies and dietitian‑specified meals.
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safe food handling.
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, train them in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
• Order supplies and equipment, maintain inventory records, and manage kitchen operations.
• Organise buffets, banquets and special events, and oversee the overall kitchen workflow.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of cooking experience in a restaurant environment.
• Ability to work under pressure, stand for long periods and pay attention to detail.
• Client‑focused, reliable, flexible and a strong team player.
