About the role
We are looking for a reliable Cook to join the kitchen team at Koala T Care Daycare in Ilderton. You will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for children while adhering to safety and allergy guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Determine portion sizes and calculate food costs.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes.
- Adapt recipes for children with food allergies or intolerances.
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance.
- Maintain inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Clean kitchen work areas and manage daily kitchen operations.
Required profile
- High school graduation.
- 1‑6 months of kitchen experience.
- Attention to detail and ability to stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s licence and own transportation.
- Vulnerable sector check cleared.
- Dependable, organized, team‑player with good time‑management.
Required skills
- WHMIS certification.
- Safe Food Handling certification.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
