Controller – Private Services Company (Oil & Gas)

About the role

The Controller will support the CFO in a fast‑growing private services firm that delivers safety solutions to the oil and gas sector. Based north of Calgary, you will own the financial function, manage the ERP system, and ensure accurate project‑based and manpower billing.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee corporate controllership, including financial reporting and accounting operations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable staff.
• Maintain and optimise the recently implemented ERP system.
• Handle project‑based, time‑based, and manpower billing typical of oilfield services.
• Provide day‑to‑day accounting support to the CFO.

Required profile

• CPA designation.
• 15–20 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in oilfield services or manpower‑based billing environments.
• Strong knowledge of project billing, time billing, and private‑company accounting.
• Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.
• Experience with both Canadian and U.S. operations is a plus.
