About the role

KUTHALA GROUP is seeking a full‑time Controller to lead financial accounting and reporting for its diversified transportation, equipment, storage, fleet services, lending and real‑estate divisions. Based on‑site in Georgetown, ON, you will partner with operations and senior leadership to provide accurate financial information that drives strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, month‑end and year‑end close, and preparation of internal and external financial statements.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow processes across multiple business units.
• Supervise the accounting team, review reconciliations and journal entries, and ensure robust internal controls.
• Coordinate audits, risk‑management initiatives and special financial projects.
• Optimize financial systems, ERP and reporting processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting background with full‑cycle accounting experience.
• Proven ability to consolidate financial results for multiple entities or divisions.
• Experience designing and maintaining internal controls and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
• Leadership experience managing and mentoring accounting staff.
