Controller

About the role

Rocketline is seeking a hands‑on Controller to lead its finance function as the company scales. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Controller will partner with operations, purchasing, and leadership to provide financial insight, improve systems, and support day‑to‑day business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle accounting, including month‑end, year‑end, and financial statement preparation.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cash‑flow, and working‑capital management.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
• Establish internal controls, ensure audit readiness, and develop KPI reporting.
• Partner cross‑functionally with Operations, Purchasing, and Leadership to drive financial performance.
• Support inventory accounting, costing, and reconciliations.
• Oversee payroll processing, compliance, and reporting in collaboration with HR.

Required profile

• CPA designation (required).
• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or inventory‑driven environments.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities.
• Proven ability to work hands‑on in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent communication and business partnership skills.
• Experience leading or mentoring a small team.
