Controller – Finance Leader for Growing Manufacturing Company

About the role

The Controller will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and own the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting for a publicly listed manufacturing business. This hands‑on position leads month‑end close, prepares internal and external reports, and builds scalable finance processes in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full month‑end and quarter‑end close, preparing consolidated IFRS financial statements.
• Produce internal and external financial reporting, draft MD&A, and support public disclosures.
• Serve as primary liaison for external auditors and manage annual audit and quarterly reviews.
• Oversee inventory and cost accounting, including valuation, BOMs, routing, and standard costing in NetSuite.
• Maintain internal controls, monitor cash flow, and supervise accounts receivable, payable, and payroll.
• Automate workflows, enhance reporting efficiency, and leverage NetSuite, Excel, and other reporting tools.
• Collaborate closely with operations to improve cost visibility and inventory discipline.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance and accounting within a manufacturing or similar high‑growth environment.
• Comfort operating with limited structure, taking ownership, and building processes from the ground up.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills to partner with cross‑functional teams and external advisors.
