Control Technician

About the role

The Manitoba Government is seeking a Control Technician to join its Maintenance team in District 4. You will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pneumatic, electric, and Direct Digital Controls (DDC) for HVAC and refrigeration systems across provincial facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain pneumatic/electric and DDC equipment for HVAC and refrigeration.
• Monitor and program building DDC systems remotely and on‑site to optimise performance and energy use.
• Troubleshoot control issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Provide on‑site training to operating staff on reading and adjusting controls.
• Report to the Maintenance Manager or designated supervisor.

Required profile

• Relevant experience with HVAC, refrigeration, and building automation controls.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Strong communication skills for staff training.
