Contract Advisor – Contract Management Specialist

About the role

The Contract Advisor will design, build, and implement a comprehensive contract management framework for Elections Ontario. This newly created position supports the organization’s procurement and operational needs by establishing end‑to‑end contract lifecycle processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full contract lifecycle, from drafting and execution to amendment, renewal, closeout, and record keeping.
• Advise business units on procurement and contract strategies and develop governance practices.
• Create and maintain standardized contract templates, schedules, clauses, and playbooks.
• Monitor contract obligations, key dates, performance, payments, changes, and risks.
• Manage complex, high‑value agreements and ensure consistent implementation across the organization.
• Establish supplier performance management, including KPIs, SLAs, scorecards, and issue‑resolution processes.
• Identify and mitigate legal, financial, operational, and compliance risks, providing guidance on change management and dispute resolution.
• Support audit readiness and assist RFx and sourcing activities with contract‑related components.

Required profile

• Experience in contract development, negotiation, administration, and performance monitoring.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and governance frameworks.
• Ability to work collaboratively with legal, procurement, and business stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and risk‑assessment skills.
