Continuing Care Assistant

About the role

Join the Coast family as a Continuing Care Assistant, providing essential personal care and emotional support to residents in retirement homes and long‑term care facilities across Nova Scotia. The role offers flexible scheduling options, including casual, part‑time, and full‑time shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene, oral care, skin care, toileting, bathing, feeding, dressing and grooming.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents, staff and organizational information.
• Deliver companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment by following infection control policies.

Required profile

• Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector check within the last six months.
• Current Standard First‑Aid and CPR certification.
• Successful completion or enrollment in a CCA/PSW program and registration with the CCA Registry.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.
• Physically fit and able to perform demanding duties.
• Reliable, punctual with good attendance.
