Continuing Care Assistant – Flexible Shifts

You will work in partnered retirement homes and long‑term care facilities across Nova Scotia, with flexible casual, part‑time or full‑time schedules and 8‑12 hour day or evening shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene, oral care, skin care, toileting, bathing, feeding, dressing and grooming.
• Maintain confidentiality concerning residents, staff and organizational information.
• Work within the NSAHO Scope of Practice.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to facility infection control policies.

Required profile

• Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sectors check within the last 6 months.
• Current Standard First‑Aid and CPR certification.
• Successful completion or enrollment in a CCA/PSW program and registration with the CCA Registry.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.
• Physically fit and able to perform demanding duties, reliable and punctual with good attendance.
