Content Moderator

About the role

A global eCommerce company with its head office in Montreal and offices in Canada, the United States and Europe (Cyprus, Georgia and Ukraine) is hiring a Content Moderator. The role keeps the online environment safe and compliant by reviewing and enforcing content policies, monitoring user-generated content, identifying potential policy violations and applying moderation decisions consistently.

Key responsibilities

• Review and moderate user-generated content to ensure compliance with platform policies and guidelines.
• Identify and report content that violates safety standards, community guidelines or legal requirements.
• Follow established moderation procedures to keep enforcement consistent.
• Meet accuracy and productivity targets while making fair and objective decisions.
• Escalate complex cases to senior moderators or policy teams when necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality and privacy when handling sensitive content and user data.

Required profile

• Preferred: 6 months to 1 year of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs or related trust and safety fields.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review content that may include hate speech, fraud or misinformation.
• Awareness of cultural differences and their impact on online communities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to document moderation decisions clearly.
