Job description
About the role
PwC Canada is looking for an experienced Consulting Operations Manager (bilingual French/English) in its advisory practice, within the Operations Strategy line of service. The role supports client engagements focused on complex manufacturing operations in highly constrained, mission-critical environments, designing and embedding decision-support capabilities that combine quantitative rigor with operational judgment, process understanding and digital enablement.
Key responsibilities
- Frame complex demand, supply, production and logistics challenges as decision problems under uncertainty, evaluating trade-offs across capacity, inventory, service levels, yield, waste, cost-to-serve and working capital.
- Apply quantitative and operational improvement techniques such as supply chain network design, production scheduling, line balancing, throughput and constraint analysis, OEE improvement, capacity planning and yield/waste modelling, using Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methods.
- Translate analytical outputs into practical manufacturing and supply chain recommendations and support operating model design and implementation planning.
- Embed analytics into scalable decision-support solutions and digital workflows, working with technical teams on data flows, KPIs and reporting logic across ERP, MES, CMSS, WMS and TMS systems.
- Support the deployment of AI-enabled solutions, including LLM-based and agentic AI use cases, with appropriate governance and explainability.
- Lead and coach project teams, oversee work quality, resolve delivery issues and engage directly with client stakeholders.
Required profile
- Degree in operations management, industrial engineering, supply chain management, engineering, business or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, supply chain, operations improvement, digital transformation, analytics or consulting.
- Experience applying quantitative analysis or operational improvement to supply chain, manufacturing or complex planning problems in Consumer Products/CPG, Food & Beverage, aerospace or other industrial manufacturing environments.
- Ability to bridge operational context and analytics, and prior experience managing small teams and client-facing engagements.
- Fluency in English and French, as bilingual collaboration with English-speaking clients and colleagues is required.
Required skills
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Yellow, Green or Black Belt or equivalent) is an asset.
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms, system integration, AI, data architecture and digital workflow enablement is an asset.
The salary range is $116,100 - $166,100, and eligible employees may participate in variable incentive pay programs. The position follows the departure of a valued team member and is open to candidates who can work in Montreal.
