About the role
We are seeking a Construction Trades Helper to support our construction projects in Surrey. The role involves assisting with material handling, concrete and asphalt work, and routine site maintenance. You will work in challenging environments such as underground, confined spaces, and noisy, dusty conditions.
Key responsibilities
- Load, unload and transport construction materials.
- Mix, pour and spread concrete and asphalt.
- Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
- Level earth to fine grade specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on site.
- Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- Flexibility, reliability and ability to work as a team player.
- Ability to handle weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
- Willingness to work morning shifts.
- Experience in construction is an asset.
Required skills
- Concrete mixing and pouring.
- Asphalt spreading.
- Material handling.
