Construction Trades Helper

About the role

FIRST CALL PAINTING LTD. is looking for a motivated Construction Trades Helper to join its team on construction sites across Edmonton. This entry‑level position offers on‑the‑job training and a supportive environment for newcomers, refugees, youth, and Indigenous workers.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload and transport construction materials safely.
• Mix, pour and spread concrete, asphalt and other building materials.
• Clean and pile salvaged materials and remove rubble or debris from sites.
• Assist with cleaning chemical spills and other contaminants.
• Feed and tend machines or equipment used in construction tasks.

Required profile

• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Willingness to work in various construction locations.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work as part of a team.
• Open to supporting newcomers, refugees, youth, and Indigenous workers.
