Construction Superintendent – Smithers, BC

About the role

Gerry Enns Contracting is looking for a seasoned Superintendent to lead commercial and residential projects from its Smithers office. You will work with a collaborative team, mentor junior staff, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily site logs, reports, photos, and schedules.
• Lead site meetings, toolbox talks, and orientations.
• Plan labour, equipment, and material requirements.
• Supervise field staff and trade partners.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs to verify safety, quality, and specification compliance.
• Coordinate project handover and warranty documentation.
• Assist on the tools when needed and perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years proven experience as a residential or commercial superintendent.
• Basic computer and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Experience with WorkSafe BC safety standards.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• First‑Aid certification (asset).
• Familiarity with CoConstruct and Salus software (asset).
• Red Seal trade qualification (asset).
