Construction Site Superintendent

About the role

The Site Superintendent oversees all on‑site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the role serves as the primary link between field operations and project management across sites in British Columbia and Alberta.

Key responsibilities

• Lead every phase of project delivery, from pre‑construction planning through final handover.
• Supervise and coordinate construction workers, subcontractors, and trade crews.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings to discuss safety, progress, and task coordination.
• Manage schedules, adjust timelines, and prepare look‑ahead task lists.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, project specifications, and safety regulations.
• Perform regular site inspections, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of progress, budget changes, and RFIs.
• Mentor junior staff and promote a positive work environment.
• Oversee inventory of tools, trailers, and logistical resources.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Site Superintendent or in a comparable construction leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel and work at multiple project sites across BC and Alberta.
