Construction Management Representative (up to 4 positions)

About the role

SEM is seeking up to four Construction Management Representatives to join its engineering and project management team. The role supports the remediation of access bridges along the Labrador Island Link (LIL) Transmission Line and may involve travel to remote sites in Labrador or Newfoundland.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary on‑site liaison between the Project Manager and contractors.
• Coordinate daily meetings, work activities, outages, and site access with operations and trades.
• Monitor contractor performance against schedule, scope, and technical specifications; maintain daily progress reports.
• Review and enforce contractor health, safety, and environmental plans; lead safety talks and issue stop‑work orders when needed.
• Inspect construction drawings, specifications, and delivered materials for quality and compliance.
• Document and assess scope changes, schedule and cost impacts, and communicate risks to the Project Manager.
• Organise contractor orientations and maintain comprehensive field documentation.

Required profile

• Knowledge of access‑road civil projects such as bridges, ditching, surface upgrades, clearing and grubbing.
• Familiarity with environmental and occupational health & safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi‑disciplinary team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
