Construction Labourer / Equipment Operator

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Labourer/Operator to join our construction division on fast‑paced, multi‑storey projects shaping Edmonton’s skyline. Reporting to the Site Superintendent, you will assist with equipment operation, site preparation and general labour tasks across commercial and institutional sites.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a variety of construction equipment including skid steers, telehandlers, forklifts, loaders and compactors.
• Perform site preparation such as excavation support, grading, material distribution and cleanup.
• Load, unload and organise construction materials, tools and equipment.
• Assist with installation and removal of temporary site infrastructure (fencing, hoarding, signage).
• Support tradespeople including carpenters, concrete crews and other equipment operators.
• Carry out demolition, waste management and site cleanup activities.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Follow construction drawings, site plans and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in commercial, industrial or multi‑family construction.
• Experience operating construction equipment in a commercial environment.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
