Construction Helper – Onsite Labor Support

About the role

The Construction Helper provides essential on‑site support to skilled tradespeople, ensuring that daily construction activities run smoothly. This entry‑level position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in the building trades and who are comfortable performing physical tasks in a variety of work environments.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload and transport construction materials.
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades.
• Mix, pour and spread concrete, asphalt and other building materials.
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs.
• Support demolition activities and clean up salvaged materials.
• Perform routine maintenance and clean up chemical spills or contaminants.
• Remove rubble and debris from construction sites.
• Tend or feed machines and equipment used in construction.
• Assist skilled tradespersons as directed.

Required profile

• Physical ability to lift, carry and move heavy items.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions.
• Basic understanding of construction site operations.
• Reliability and punctuality for on‑site work.
