Join BGC Okanagan as a Community Support Worker! BGC Okanagan is seeking a Community Support Worker to plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging group programs for children and youth with diverse abilities. Using a strengths‑based and inclusive approach, you will support participants in achieving their goals, building confidence, developing life skills, and experiencing meaningful personal growth.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in assessing, goal setting, and planning support programs, including developing and implementing Support Plans.
• Assess participants’ needs, develop short‑term plans with families, and facilitate daily life, social, and vocational skills.
• Assist with intake processes, ensure documentation is complete before services begin, and maintain accurate participant records.
• Identify and manage potential emergency situations, administer medication per policy, and transport participants between school and club sites.

Required profile

• Diploma in a related human or social service field.
• At least one year of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Class 4 driver’s licence or willingness to obtain one promptly.
• Successful completion of agency screening, including a criminal record check.
