Communications Systems BIM Modeller

About the role

Join a leading Rail & Transit group to shape transportation infrastructure across the GTA and Southwestern Ontario. As a Communications Systems BIM Modeller you will apply your BIM expertise to design and model critical communications elements for major projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and create 3D models of communications systems such as PA, CCTV, telephony, data networks, DAS, fibre and copper links.
• Develop cable, conduit and duct bank routing, riser diagrams and installation detail packages for project submissions.
• Support designers and engineers with CAD/BIM tasks, system calculations and equipment selection while adhering to WSP BIM standards.
• Coordinate with the host BIM/design team to improve multi‑regional workflow efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, planning, GIS, engineering, computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in electrical or communications systems design using CAD and advanced BIM 3D Revit modelling in a consulting environment.
• Working knowledge of communications systems (PA, CCTV, DAS, telephony, etc.) and conduit/duct bank sizing.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit 3D modelling and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Experience with Navisworks, Dynamo scripting, AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation.
• Familiarity with BIM add‑ins and regional/national BIM standards.
