Communications Coordinator

About the role

The Communications Coordinator will join a 13‑person Marketing and Communications team at Sun Peaks Resort and the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel. This role supports both internal and external communications, turning operational details into clear, brand‑aligned messages for employees, guests and the wider community.

Key responsibilities

• Create and distribute employee updates, guest newsletters and community messages.
• Draft, edit and proofread internal notices, operational alerts and marketing content.
• Gather content from various departments and support larger campaigns.
• Ensure timely, accurate delivery of information across multiple channels.
• Collaborate with the Employee Experience team and the Brand & Communications Manager.
• Maintain consistency with brand guidelines and resort‑specific tone.
• Handle physical materials up to 20 kg in an indoor setting.
• Work on a rotating schedule aligned with chairlift operations.

Required profile

• Natural communicator who values clear, concise writing.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Curious, collaborative and comfortable in a fast‑moving resort environment.
• Appreciates the importance of timing, accuracy and teamwork.

Required skills

• Strong written and editorial skills.
• Ability to edit and proofread brand‑aligned content.
• Basic content management and coordination capabilities.
• Familiarity with brand guidelines and resort communication standards.
