Coat Check Attendant - Arcadian

About the role

A historic event venue in Toronto, with two distinct spaces (Arcadian Court and Arcadian Loft) and a kitchen studio, is looking for a Coat Check Attendant. The position is full time, and casual and part-time positions are also available.

Key responsibilities

• Promptly greet guests and communicate with them
• Assist guests with the coat check process
• Hang and organize coats within the numerical order system
• Return coats and items to guests using the numerical order system, in a friendly and efficient way
• Maintain and keep the coat check area clean at all times
• Complete paperwork accurately on lost or stolen articles
• Build and maintain good relationships with management and team members
• Perform additional duties as assigned or required

Required profile

• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent verbal communication, with strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
• Able to work efficiently, independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, cleanliness and organization
• Able to stand and lift coats repeatedly over the course of a shift
