Co-op Career Advisor & Industry Partner

About the role

The Faculty of Applied Science at UBC is seeking a Co‑op Career Advisor and Industry Partner to lead and enhance its cooperative education program. This full‑time position supports undergraduate and graduate students in securing meaningful work‑integrated learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement recruitment strategies to attract students to co‑op opportunities.
• Develop and deliver career‑readiness curriculum, providing advising and coaching for job search and workplace success.
• Monitor student placements, resolve workplace issues, and ensure compliance with CEWIL Canada accreditation standards.
• Assess and analyze placement outcomes each term to drive continuous program improvement.
• Collaborate with co‑op professionals across provinces and nationally.
• Manage day‑to‑day administration of the co‑op program, including employer relations and partnership development.

Required profile

• Experience in co‑operative education, career advising, or related student services.
• Strong understanding of national accreditation standards for work‑integrated learning.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, faculty, and employers.
• Analytical ability to evaluate program data and outcomes.
