Clinical Research Coordinator – Exercise Physiology

About the role

The Koelwyn Lab is seeking a full‑time Clinical Research Coordinator with expertise in clinical exercise physiology. The role supports research that examines how exercise influences the inflammatory‑immune axis to improve outcomes for patients with cardiopulmonary disease or cancer.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate clinical research projects within the Koelwyn Lab and partner institutions.
• Develop research proposals, protocols, and ethics submissions; manage amendments and annual renewals.
• Oversee study set‑up, participant recruitment, data collection, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Principal Investigators, clinicians, and scientists to ensure alignment with study objectives.
• Maintain accurate documentation, study logs, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience in clinical exercise physiology and research coordination.
• Strong knowledge of ethics board processes and clinical trial regulations.
• Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary, fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
