Class 5, 5-Ton Driver - City P&D

About the role

Manitoulin Transport is hiring a Class 5, 5-ton driver for its city pick-up and delivery route in High Level. The driver completes local deliveries in High Level and the surrounding area, working a normal week of Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday shifts and some flexibility in availability.

Key responsibilities

• Carry, use a wheeler, a pallet jack and a tailgate as required to complete local deliveries promptly.
• Plan, load and unload freight for a variety of customers.
• Start each day at 7:00 am on the dock, using a handheld device to receive freight and record shortages or damage, then load freight onto delivery trucks.
• Complete deliveries and pickups, then return to the dock to load outbound freight before finishing the day.

Required profile

• Class 5 license.
• 1 year of city pick-up and delivery experience.
• Reliable and dependable.
• Physically fit.
• Able to provide a criminal record check, driver's abstract and 2 work-related references.

Required skills

• Class 5 driving licence.
• Assets: Electronic Logging Device and handheld device experience, D.G., WHMIS and forklift experience.
