Civil Construction Foreman

About the role

Knappett Industries is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Foreman to lead field operations on ongoing projects in Port Alberni and Nanaimo, BC. The role requires strong work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.

Key responsibilities

• Direct field operations, ensuring projects stay on schedule, within budget, and meet safety standards.
• Manage and mentor field employees, coordinate subcontractors, and oversee material deliveries and inspections.
• Develop and execute work plans, maintain daily logs, and conduct weekly subcontractor meetings.
• Perform quality control, address non‑compliance issues, and ensure a clean, organized job site.

Required profile

• 5+ years of civil construction experience with ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coaching abilities.
• Physically fit, able to lift 50 lb and work in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s licence and professional demeanor when interacting with clients and crew.
