About the role

The Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) is seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead one of Canada’s largest granting foundations. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will shape strategy, steward public investments, and champion impact‑driven grant‑making across Ontario’s diverse communities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and organizational vision for OTF.
• Oversee grant‑making excellence, operational performance, and financial stewardship of a $100 million annual budget.
• Engage government partners, community stakeholders, volunteers, staff, and the Board to advance OTF’s mandate.
• Ensure transparency, accountability, and measurable impact in all programmes.
• Represent OTF publicly and position the foundation to respond to evolving sector needs.

Required profile

• Seasoned executive with proven success in non‑profit, public, philanthropic or community sectors.
• Strong political acuity, governance knowledge, and public‑accountability experience.
• Exceptional communicator and collaborative leader capable of building trusted relationships.
• Deep commitment to public service, equity, and community strengthening.
