Chief Corporate Services Officer (CCSO)

About the role

The Ottawa Humane Society is seeking a Chief Corporate Services Officer (CCSO) to join its senior leadership team. Reporting to the President & CEO, the CCSO will guide finance, administration, information technology, facilities, fleet and overall organisational infrastructure, ensuring operational excellence and long‑term sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for corporate services, including finance, HR, IT, facilities and fleet management.
• Partner with the President & CEO, senior leaders and the Board to shape strategic plans, manage risk and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and resource stewardship for a $14 million annual budget.
• Lead modernisation initiatives, optimise processes and support data‑driven decision‑making across the organisation.
• Develop high‑performing teams, foster a culture of accountability and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience leading finance, administration and corporate services in a complex, mission‑driven environment.
• Strong business acumen, analytical ability and sound judgment.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills, with a collaborative leadership style.
• Track record of delivering operational excellence and supporting organisational sustainability.
