Chef – Full-time Kitchen Leader

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Chef to join our kitchen team at Chicken Chef in Boissevain. You will be responsible for preparing high‑quality dishes, developing new recipes and ensuring consistent culinary standards for both daily service and special events. You will work closely with the kitchen manager to maintain food safety standards and contribute to menu planning that reflects seasonal ingredients, while collaborating with front‑of‑house staff to ensure timely service and exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to kitchen staff.
• Supervise specialist chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers.
• Create and test new recipes.
• Instruct cooks on preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation.
• Prepare and cook food for regular service and special functions.
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1–2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to meet language requirements (English or French).
