About the role

Sandvik Mining is seeking an experienced field service technician to lead a team of technicians on mining sites and client locations. The role combines advanced technical work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high‑quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced repairs, inspections, and commissioning of mining equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Provide technical support and recommend equipment improvements to increase performance and reliability.
• Write service reports, failure analyses, and related documentation.
• Maintain tools and service equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Coach, mentor, and guide technicians, acting as the technical leader of the service team.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a field service technician in the mining or heavy‑equipment sector.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Ability to work independently on remote sites and adapt to rotating 14‑hour shifts.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
