Cataract Refractive Manager

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Cataract Refractive Manager to join its Surgical team on a remote basis in Canada. The role focuses on accelerating adoption of premium and base intraocular lens (IOL) technologies, combining clinical expertise with practice‑development support to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute national launch strategies for new IOL products, coordinating regional tactical plans.
• Deliver post‑launch presentations and training to physicians, OR staff, and clinical personnel.
• Provide ongoing clinical support on patient selection, biometry calculation, keratometry, IOL selection and reimbursement.
• Demonstrate product knowledge to customers and reinforce Alcon’s reputation in the surgical field.
• Assist Account Managers with business plan execution, identifying training needs and supporting key accounts (20‑25) to maximize business potential.
• Complete administrative tasks, including timely CRM updates.

Required profile

• Strong clinical acumen in cataract and refractive surgery.
• Experience in practice development and customer education.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with Account Managers and marketing leadership.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse clinical audiences.
