Casual Liquor Agent (One-Year Casual Position)

About the role
This casual, one‑year opportunity requires no prior experience. On‑the‑job training will be provided as you work alongside an AGLC Inspector to ensure licensed establishments comply with ID‑checking regulations for cannabis and liquor sales.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with an AGLC Inspector to visit licensed cannabis and liquor establishments.
- Attempt to purchase cannabis and liquor to verify that staff check identification for anyone appearing under 25.
- Collect sufficient evidence, take mental notes, and submit written reports after each visit.
- May be required to provide testimony at administrative hearings.
- Travel to both urban and rural locations across Alberta, with flexible scheduling that can include evenings and weekends.
Required profile
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent (include year of graduation).
- Must reasonably appear under 25 years of age.
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible to work in Canada.
- Ability to obtain a satisfactory security clearance and a clean driver’s abstract if required.
