Casual Cannabis Clerk – Part‑Time

About the role

The PEI Cannabis Management Corporation is seeking casual, part‑time Cannabis Clerks to work in a government‑run retail store. Clerks will greet customers, handle sales transactions, and ensure the store complies with provincial regulations and corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance in line with the employer dress code.
• Provide courteous, friendly service to customers, answering inquiries and assisting with purchases.
• Balance cash float, sign onto the POS terminal, and process cash, debit or credit payments accurately.
• Scan or manually enter UPC codes, bag items, and prepare parcels for e‑commerce shipments.
• Unload cannabis deliveries, reconcile shipments with bills of lading, and store product safely.
• Monitor retail and storage areas to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support teammates to foster a positive team environment.

Required profile

• Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Considerable recent experience in a retail environment.

Required skills

• Operation of point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Cash handling and transaction processing.
• UPC scanning and basic inventory reconciliation.
