Cashier (Part Time Evenings and Weekends)

About the role

Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store as a part‑time cashier working evenings and weekends. You will be the front‑line face of the store, ensuring customers receive fast, friendly service while maintaining a tidy checkout area.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and greet every shopper with a warm demeanor.
• Accurately scan items, process coupons, lottery tickets, and PC Optimum cards.
• Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments, ensuring correct accounting.
• Maintain a neat, organized checkout lane and adhere to loss‑prevention standards.
• Merchandise designated areas, including facing, signing, and labeling products.
• Follow health, safety, uniform, and store policies at all times.

Required profile

• Strong planning, judgement, and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to balance teamwork with efficient order processing.
• Well‑organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of accurate record‑keeping.
• Comfortable working evenings and weekends (Thursday/Friday shifts).
