Carpentry Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Carpentry Supervisor to lead our workshop team in Edmonton. The role involves overseeing daily carpentry projects, ensuring quality standards, and supporting the crew with technical guidance. You will also coordinate schedules, enforce health and safety regulations, and drive productivity improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• Provide technical advice to workers and supervise multiple carpentry projects.
• Coordinate and schedule activities to meet project deadlines.
• Train staff or arrange for training to develop skills.
• Estimate costs and material requirements for each job.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site.
• Establish methods and processes to meet work schedules efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints and detailed drawings.
• Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.

Required profile

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• 1 to less than 2 years of relevant experience in carpentry supervision.

Required skills

• Blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Cost estimation for materials and labour.
