Carpenter – Modular Construction (Grimsby, ON)

About the role

ATCO Structures is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join its manufacturing facility in Grimsby, Ontario. The role requires a minimum of three years’ experience and involves assembling modular units and building components while adhering to safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in installing sheeting materials such as subfloors, wall sheeting, and roofing sheeting.
• Assist in assembling doors, windows, trim, and millwork, including hardware installation and painting.
• Gather materials needed for unit assembly and install small finishing items.
• Pre‑assemble components and read/interpret blueprints.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Hand.

Required profile

• Team player with a strong safety focus.
• Residential carpentry experience and basic communication skills.
• Ability to lift 55 lb unassisted and 35 lb overhead.
• Capability to stand, crouch, and kneel for extended periods.
• Previous experience with modular unit assembly is an asset.
