About the role
We are looking for a skilled carpenter to join our team in Surrey, BC. The role involves interpreting construction documents and producing high‑quality woodwork and related structures. You will work on a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and company standards.
Key responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
- Prepare layouts that conform to building codes using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel.
- Supervise other workers on site.
- Estimate material quantities and associated costs.
Required profile
- Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or related field.
Required skills
- Blueprint reading.
- Layout preparation.
