Carpenter – Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for a skilled carpenter to join our construction team in Abbotsford. The role involves working on residential, commercial and renovation projects, handling tasks from layout preparation to final finishes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare layout plans in compliance with building codes using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel components.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub‑flooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures across various sites.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1–2 years of carpentry experience.
• Ability to work at heights in noisy, dusty environments.
• Physical capability to bend, crouch, kneel and handle heavy loads.
• Reliability, accuracy and strong teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with measuring tools.
• Cutting and shaping of wood and related materials.
• Assembly of wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel.
• Installation of windows, doors, stairs and mouldings.
• Understanding of building codes and construction standards.
