Carpenter – Construction Projects

About the role

Grayline Construction Services Ltd. is seeking a skilled carpenter to join its Calgary team. The role involves working on a variety of construction projects, including commercial, industrial and institutional sites, with a focus on quality craftsmanship and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join wood, wood substitutes and lightweight steel components.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub‑flooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residential, commercial and industrial wooden structures.

Required profile

• Accurate and reliable with strong judgement.
• Excellent oral and written communication; team‑player attitude.
• Ability to work physically demanding tasks, meet tight deadlines and operate with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• WHMIS certification and Fall Arrest Protection training.
• Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) and Confined Space Entry certification.
