CAD Technician

About the role

Join Bosch Building Technologies as a CAD Technician, supporting the creation and management of detailed design documentation for security and building technology projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure accurate, professional deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed design documents, including plot plans, elevation drawings, wiring details, and bills of material.
• Produce as‑built drawings and technical close‑out documents for physical security, networking, server, and storage architectures.
• Maintain documentation in Bosch’s document management repositories throughout contract lifecycles.
• Work with engineers and technicians to develop standardized, high‑quality design packages and sales collateral tools.
• Identify and document processes that improve design efficiency and scalability.
• Adhere to Bosch Building Technologies’ documentation standards and ensure meticulous attention to detail.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of drafting/design experience in IT, instrumentation, controls, electronics, or security industries.
• Post‑secondary education in Electronics, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment and deliver high‑quality work.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a self‑starter attitude.
