Cabinetmaker – Skilled Woodworker

About the role

We are looking for a skilled cabinetmaker to join our team in Surrey, BC. You will work on crafting high-quality kitchen cabinets and wooden furniture, ensuring precision and finish that meet our standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machines such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers to cut, shape and form components.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications or drawings to produce required articles.
• Trim joints, fit parts and sub-assemblies, and reinforce joints to create complete units.
• Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, polish or varnish to finished products.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and repair or restyle wooden furniture and fixtures.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 2 to less than 3 years of cabinetmaking experience.
• Attention to detail and ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lb) and work as an organized team player.
