Business Development Manager – Industrial (North America)

About the role

The Business Development Manager – Industrial will drive growth by promoting frozen fruits and vegetables to North American industrial customers such as pizza manufacturers, pet food producers, ready‑meal companies, and more. You will identify new accounts, build relationships, and close sales while supporting the company’s strategic expansion in the food manufacturing sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans for the North American industrial market.
• Prospect new accounts, secure appointments, assess client needs, and deliver tailored sales presentations.
• Negotiate terms, overcome objections, and close sales to meet individual and organizational revenue targets.
• Collaborate with marketing, customer service, and product development to align solutions with client requirements.
• Prepare technical presentations and proposals highlighting the benefits of frozen fruits and vegetables.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer needs, and regulatory changes to inform strategy.
• Provide technical insights on product functionality, processing techniques, and supply‑chain optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, marketing, food science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within food manufacturing or processing industries.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
• Technical knowledge of food processing, ingredient functionality, and North American regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage complex sales cycles and understand customer demands for quality, consistency, and cost‑efficiency.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
