Breakfast Cook – Horizon North Camp

About the role

Join a world‑class camp facility as a Breakfast Cook, preparing high‑quality breakfast meals and baked goods for up to 70 guests on a 28‑day on/28‑day off schedule. You will work in a safety‑sensitive environment, adhering to strict food‑safety standards while delivering a welcoming dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast items and baked goods for up to 70 clients each shift.
• Develop and follow menus that meet quality standards and accommodate special dietary requirements.
• Wrap, date, and schedule baked goods according to production plans.
• Maintain equipment operation, safety, and sanitation in the kitchen.
• Comply with Food Safety Act regulations and internal hygiene protocols.
• Clean, wash, and sanitize all kitchen equipment and work areas.

Required profile

• Interprovincial Red Seal certification or equivalent culinary education.
• FoodSafe Level I certification (minimum).
• At least 3 years of cooking and baking experience in a hotel, institutional or similar environment.
• Experience preparing baked goods for large groups.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lb.
• Pass a WHMIS test with a score of 80 % or higher.
