Biology TA for Intro to Graduate Studies (90 hrs)

About the role

This position supports the Intro to Graduate Studies: Biology course (BIOL 001) at McGill University. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the course instructors to ensure smooth delivery of course materials and activities over a 90‑hour term.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and oversee the course website and file‑sharing platform.
• Assist instructors in identifying and organizing course materials.
• Identify, invite, and schedule appropriate guest lecturers.
• Attend all class sessions and participate in discussions as needed.
• Provide audiovisual support for student presentations and other course activities.
• Field student questions, responding directly or referring to instructors.

Required profile

• Upper‑level PhD student with familiarity with graduate program structures.
• Strong organizational skills and experience managing schedules and file‑sharing strategies.
• Active engagement in graduate‑student‑led organizations and initiatives.
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
