About the role
Join our Environment team as a Biologist or Natural‑Environment Technician to lead field‑based inventories and characterisations of terrestrial ecosystems. You will work primarily outdoors in remote regions, supporting diverse projects in energy, mining, infrastructure and linear developments.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct biological and ecosystem inventories in forests, wetlands and wildlife habitats.
- Characterise natural environments for impact assessments and biophysical studies.
- Collect, compile and validate field data during multi‑day campaigns.
- Prepare technical reports, field notes and contribute to environmental monitoring.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (biology, engineering, GIS, environmental science).
- Apply standard health and safety protocols on site.
Required profile
- Technical or university degree in biology, bio‑ecology, environment or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in natural‑environment inventory or characterisation.
- Proven field‑work experience, including planning and meeting deadlines.
- Strong technical writing skills for reports.
- Advanced French and intermediate English.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to work physically in remote, variable‑weather conditions.
- Availability for consecutive‑day field campaigns.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office suite.
- GIS tools (ArcGIS or equivalent) – preferred.
