Bilingual Claims Specialist – Customer Compliance

About the role

Sunwing Vacations Group is seeking a bilingual Claims Specialist to join its Customer Compliance team in Laval, Quebec. The role involves representing the company in small claims court actions, supporting larger legal files, and ensuring compliance with travel‑industry regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit written and in‑person responses to court actions on behalf of Sunwing Vacations Group.
• Collaborate with internal departments and third‑party travel suppliers to gather information for court filings.
• Attend courts, tribunals, and mediations as the company’s representative and advocate.
• Assist in‑house and external lawyers with larger claims and legal matters.
• Identify trends in claims and recommend policy or procedural enhancements.
• Stay current on all guest‑facing policies and procedures.

Required profile

• University or college degree in a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
• TICO certification and knowledge of APPR, OPC requirements, seller‑of‑travel obligations, and the legal system are assets.
