Bid & Proposal Manager

About the role

Baastel is seeking a Bid & Proposal Manager to drive business growth by identifying opportunities, responding to requests for proposals, and overseeing the administrative side of projects within the Environment Unit. The role focuses on business development, proposal coordination, and contract management, without direct technical supervision of field activities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, analyze and qualify business opportunities relevant to Baastel’s environmental services.
• Coordinate the preparation of high‑quality technical and financial proposals in partnership with subject‑matter experts.
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and networks of experts across regions.
• Manage the administrative aspects of projects, including contract administration and compliance.
• Respond to RFPs and tender processes, ensuring timely and compliant submissions.
• Report progress and outcomes to the Head of Unit.

Required profile

• Proven experience in bid, proposal or tender management, preferably within consulting or international development.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to mobilize multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; French is a plus.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with partners and clients.
• Comfortable working remotely and managing schedules across multiple time zones.

• Annual performance‑based bonus.
• For salaried contracts in Quebec: 50% coverage of group health insurance, retirement savings plan contribution, three remote‑work days per week, and the possibility to work abroad.
• Competitive salary range (CAD 51,000‑58,000) for employee contracts or USD 150‑200 per day for consulting contracts.
