Bartender, Events - Village Loft

About the role

Village Loft, a venue in Bayview Village, North York, offers a modern, newly renovated space with indoor dining and a large outdoor terrace for events such as corporate functions, cocktail receptions, bar and bat mitzvahs and weddings. Oliver & Bonacini is hiring a Bartender for its events bar. The role is part-time, pays $17.95 plus gratuities, and requires availability for flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Craft high-quality drinks with consistency, speed and attention to detail
• Welcome guests warmly and give confident recommendations on cocktails, wine and beer
• Take orders accurately, manage tabs and coordinate with the kitchen
• Personalize service for special occasions and dietary needs, paying attention to allergies
• Work with servers, kitchen staff and management, and stay organized and clean during peak hours
• Check stock levels, support inventory and keep the bar ready

Required profile

• Valid Smart Serve certification
• Proven experience in event service or hospitality
• Excellent food and wine knowledge and ability to describe it
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to stay calm under pressure
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
